Nutrication Terms of Service

By using Nutrication (“the app”), you agree to these terms. They’re short on purpose.

What Nutrication is

Nutrication scores food on a 0-100 scale and assigns an A-D grade using four published frameworks (NOVA processing, Nutri-Score, glycemic load, and ingredient flags). It also offers meal ideas, swap suggestions, restaurant menu analysis, and a day-by-day plate tracker.

What Nutrication is not

Nutrication is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. The grades, warnings, and meal suggestions are general nutrition information. They should not replace guidance from your doctor, dietitian, or any licensed healthcare professional. If you have a medical condition, allergy, or dietary restriction, follow your care team’s advice — not the app’s.

We do our best to estimate macros (especially for restaurant menus and meal photos), but these are AI-derived estimates and can be wrong by 30% or more. Cross-check with package labels and your own measurement when accuracy matters.

Your responsibilities

• Don’t upload photos that aren’t food/labels/menus.
• Don’t try to break, scrape, reverse-engineer, or abuse the API.
• Don’t use Nutrication to make health claims about products on behalf of brands without disclosure.

Account

If you create an account:

• You’re responsible for keeping your email valid and your access secure.
• You can delete your account at any time from the You tab. Deletion is permanent.

Subscription / payment

Nutrication is currently free. If we add paid features, the price and terms will be visible before you subscribe, and you’ll be billed through Apple’s App Store (subject to Apple’s payment terms).

Disclaimer of warranties

The app is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We don’t guarantee that the scoring is suitable for your specific health situation, that the AI estimates are accurate, or that the service will be uninterrupted.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim relating to Nutrication is limited to the amount you paid us in the past 12 months (which, if you’re on the free tier, is zero).

Changes

If we change these terms, the next time you open the app you’ll see a notice. Continued use after that constitutes acceptance.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
